During her childhood, she experienced the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, where she engaged in playful activities like handball and visits to the local corner store with her brothers and cousins. It was during these moments that she was struck by the pervasive graffiti art around her, captivated by its dynamic colors and expressive forms. While many viewed it merely as graffiti, Dr. Martin recognized its true essence as art and a powerful form of self-expression. Upholding the value of authenticity has always been important to her, which is why she incorporated graffiti-inspired design into her brand packaging—a continual reminder to embrace one's true self. A passion for lip products has been a longstanding aspect of Dr. Martin’s life; however, she often struggled to find options that truly delivered on their promises of hydration. This prompted her to create a premium lip product that features only the highest quality vegan, clean, and cruelty-free ingredients.
